Jackson Clelland, Associate Pastor
Calgary, Alberta, Canada is not exactly the fishing capital of the world. It is smack, dab in the middle of the foothills, with hundreds of miles of prairies to the East and the Rocky Mountains to the West. But there I was selling fish for a living, having graduated with a business degree three years eralier. In the midst of cod, sole and halibut I discovered that I was enjoying the weekly Bible study I was leading more than my job (imagine that!). I loved watching people discover Jesus and grow in their desire to follow him. So, in between fishing for sole and fishing for soul, I studied at Regent College in Vancouver, B.C. and received a Master of Dinivity.
University Place is my new fishin' hole. For the last five years I served in a congregation in San Diego, California as an associate pastor and before that as a solo pastor in Ontario, Canada. I have a love of narrative, Scripture, theology and surfing. So far, the waves on Puget Sound aren't doing too much for me! I still love being a part of what God is doing in drawing people to himself.
