Aaron Stewart, Minister to Church Programs and Children, Youth, and Students (Emerge)
University Place Presbyterian Church has been a home for me and my family
for many years now. After graduating from Pacific Lutheran University with
a degree in Adolescent Psychology and finishing staff involvement in Young
Life youth ministry I felt a strong prompting from God to work in the church.
In 1997 I was called as a youth pastor to students here at UPPC. Since that
time, my job has changed quite a bit but I am still passionate about kids
and seeing them meet Christ with the compelling truth of the cross. The
last eight years have been incredible, seeing kids meet Christ, gather together
in small groups to grow, and experience the incredible power of a relationship
with a living God.
My wife Jenny and I have been married for 6 years. We have a 2 1/2 year old
son named Luke... (Yes... "the force" was with us when we chose
that name) and a 2 month old son named Peter. I love to snow ski, wakeboard, and watch re-runs of the "A-Team".
Currently I have been pursuing a modeling career but that hasn't worked
out so well... (Wait? did I go too far there?)
*The executive programs minister oversees the ministries of the church and
assists the senior pastor. The executive minister meets weekly with the
UPPC "e-team" ministers for planning, training, and ministry direction.
Additionally, the Minister to Children, Youth, and Students oversees the
children and youth ministries led by our staff and lay teams.
