Quest Junior High Ministries
Quest
is UPPC’s Junior High Youth Group program that meets every Tuesday during
the school year -- All 8th and 9th graders are welcome to come and enjoy
a time of hanging out with your friends, playing games, singing, and learning
about living life with Jesus. Our goal is to be an incarnational ministry
that shares the Gospel with students, providing them with opportunities
to learn and grow in their faith.
Our Primary Programs/Events
- QUEST, Mid-week Youth Group: Our weekly program on Tuesday nights from 8-9. A time to hang out with your friends and meet a few new ones!
- DEEPER, Sunday Morning Bible Study: Join us on Sunday mornings (during the school year) at 9:30 o’clock in the Library for a chance to dig deeper into God’s Word.
- Camps/Retreats: Enjoy exciting times with your friends at Camp Ghormley in the summer, Big Mountain ski retreat in the winter, and a yearly weekend retreat in the fall.
- Small Groups: Small Groups are a great way for students to go deeper in their faith in a more intimate and personal environment. Small groups are students of the same gender and class, facilitated by a QUEST leader.
Links to Cool Websites
The internet is a beautiful tool, but there’s more to it than IM’s and streaming funny video clips. Here’s some website that can feed your soul, deepen your understanding about God, Jesus, the world, yourself, and everything really. I encourage you to take a look at these websites and use them to build your relationship with God. Remember—God made everything for His glory including the internet, so use it for that!
- www.ourjourney.org : Spend some time daily with God by using this website with a daily devotional. If you have e-mail you can sign up for a daily e-mail devotional.
- www.campuslife.net : Great website with articles about everything from sex and dating to God’s take on the media and how to live as a Christ-follower on your campus and much more.
- www.movies.christianitytoday.com : Great website that gives a great perspective to the themes of spiritual significance in the movies we watch today. And they don’t freak out just because Harry Potter deals with magic and wizards and stuff.
